JC Samuels is our resident artists. Her first one-act play, How High the Moon? was a winner of the 12th Annual International Women’s Playwriting Festival at the Perishable Theatre, The Last Frontier Conference and the Bay One-Acts Festival. Screenplays include Kendall Green, Waiting for Elijah, and The Company Store, which was a semi-finalist at the Moondance Film Festival, quarter finalist for the Fade-In awards and finalist at the Writer’s Place screenplay competition. Her 10-minute play, Disaster Plan, has either been produced or had a staged reading at The Three Wise Monkeys Short Leaps Festival, Broadway West, The Three Leaches, The Future is Female and The Actor’s Theatre of Santa Cruz. Her play Ashtad and Dardanos had a staged reading at Wily West Productions and was semi-finalist at the Drury University National One-Act Play Competition. Her play Livestrong was a winner of the 31 plays in 31 days competition, and semi-finalist for Minnesota Shorts Play Festival. Samuels is an ATLAS playwright and a member of The Dramatist Guild.
